75 years ago Frans Beekhuizen – the father of Jan Beekhuizen - started the Gallery in Helmond in the south of Holland. In 1969 Jan Beekhuizen took over
the business and moved to Amsterdam. He is now a leading expert in European pewter and author of many books and catalogues about antique pewter.
The collection contains not only pewter but also a large collection of bronze mortars from the 16th – 18th century. Delftware and collector’s items.
He is since 25 years the expert in the TV program Tussen Kunst en Kitsch and more than 25 years president of the Dutch Pewter Society.
